i hopped off the plane at lax with a dream and my cardigan...

So for the month of February, I went on a little trip Stateside with my friend Jess. There was so much to see and do (and so so many places to eat!) I had the time of my life. And can we talk about the shopping for a minute? Man, did I spend up big. I had to buy a whole other bag just to get all my new gear home! But things are so much cheaper in the US, so the way I figure it, the trip was like one giant half-off sale. Think of how much I saved!

Of course, I took a million and one pictures, but I've done my best to edit them down. (If you know me, you know there's nothing I hate more than looking at an endless reel of someone else's vacation pics!) But in case you were wondering how went down, here goes...

First stop – Disneyland. Because there's no such thing as jetlag at the Happiest Place On Earth, right?

If you can't tell, I literally spent 48 hours straight smiling at Disneyland. From cute-as-a-button Toontown to the nightmare was Mickey's swinging ferris wheel (I felt like we were not going to get off that ride alive!) I was as excited as a kid hyped up on candy. And when we left, my legs ached from all the walking and my cheeks hurt from all the smiling.

Our next port of call was sunny LA, where despite keeping my eyes peeled 24/7, I never saw a single celebrity – however I did fulfill my dream of holding an Oscar at the Dolby Theater and eat an ice-cream sandwiched between two cupcake tops at Sprinkles, so it wasn't a complete loss! I also dragged Jess to the LACMA. A little bit because I wanted to be sophisticated and see the artworks, and a little bit because the very cool lampshade installation is where my favourite scene from No Strings Attached goes down. (Don't pretend like you didn't love that movie, too. We're all friends here...)

Are you bored yet? Well hold onto your seats, because I'm still going through all the pics from San Francisco, Vegas and New York. Oh, New York, take me back already...
