Just in case you were wondering, when I drink from a china tea cup, I totally pop my pinky finger.
I'm that posh.
I think that's why I enjoy high tea so much. I can dress up all fancy and eat finger sandwiches and pretend that I'm engaged to Prince Harry. Also, I happen to believe that high tea is the ideal combination of sweet and savory – it being about 20 per cent savory and 80 per cent cakes and biscuits and scones. If that's not a perfectly balanced meal, then I don't know what is.
On a side note, I just found out that there is a place in New York City called Alice's Tea Cup – and they serve scones! Sorry Disneyland, but I can already tell that this place is going to be the highlight of my holiday.

Sometimes I'll catch myself accidentally popping out my pinky when I'm drinking bottled water or something NOT fancy. I guess I'm just classy... Haha.

These pictures are so dreamy! As a fan of all things tiny, I have to agree - tea time is no exception. Somehow teacups and scones are just so much more fun when they're dainty. (Maybe because if the scones are little, I think I can have, you know, 20).
